Annual Review of Territorial Governance in the Western Balkans, Issue 5
The Annual Review of Territorial Governance in the Western Balkans is published by Co-PLAN and POLIS University on a yearly basis, in print and online versions (http://www.co-plan.org/en/tgreview/). The published articles are select policy briefs and/or scientific papers on matters related to territorial governance, sketching the present situation, the Europeanisation process, the policy and the research and development agenda for the near future. The publication targets policy-makers, policy-influencing actors and policy scientists, researchers and academics and focuses on issues such as spatial planning, environment, climate change and resilience, energy, transport, cultural heritage, municipal finances, regional development, governance, disasters risk, tourism etc. The articles may propose observations, analyses and authentic solutions to policy problems, bring in international best practices that are sound and/or relevant for implementation in the context of the Balkan countries, or discuss the effect and relevance of EU policies in the Western Balkans and in the Europeanisation process. We encourage authors to submit articles that have a comparative approach/value in addressing aspects of territorial governance in two or more Western Balkan countries or EU, regions in different countries, two or more themes, or discuss issues that are relevant to all countries even though based on specific case studies

The deadline for abstract submission is April 30, 2024.
This document is a position of the members of TG-WeB, based on the conclusions of their 4th meeting in June 2021. TG-WeB is aiming at propomoting the extention of the Territorial Agenda 2030 implementation in the Western Balkan region, as a critical step towards EU integration and Europeanisation of territorial development. The position brief was shared with the Slovenian Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, in the frame of the 2021 Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Ministry included and presented the position as a special point in the agenda of the 1st meeting of the Territorial Agenda Working Group and additionally shared it with the NTCCPs for their further consideration.

Through this call, we invite all interested researchers to submit abstracts for publication of papers in the 3rd issue of the Annual Review of Territorial Governance in the Western Balkans, 2021.
